THE TOMB OF FERDOSI (Ferdowsi)
- In the West of Toos (Tus), is set in its own park.
- The original brick structure went to ruin. In 1926, it was rebuilt. The construction ended in 1934 during Ferdosi's millennia celebration.

Modern and ancient architectural methods can be seen in the construction. The outer facade of the tomb represents Achaemenian art and culture while the internal architecture is of Parthian Period.
The ceiling tiles reflect Islamic Art and decoration on walls are by modern artist Sedighi plus images from Shahnameh.
The area of garden is 6 hectares (15 acres) includes a museum, library, and other buildings.

- Ferdosi (Ferdowsi) was born in about 940, near Toos (Tus). He is famous for writing Shahnameh or Book of Kings, taking him over 25 years to include 50,000 couplets. It relates the history of the country from the creation of the world to the Arab conquest in the seventh century. From numerous sources including many oral histories he created this tome of the entire history of the Iranian people.
- Ferdosi developed rubai (quatrain) epochal style of historical poems.
